The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, February 16 reveals Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will lash out at Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Also coming up, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be grateful to Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) for getting her daughter out on bail. Plus, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will counsel Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). And Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will come face to face with her wife.
Y&R spoilers tease Tessa will arrive at the Chancellor estate. She’ll hug Abby and tell her and Devon Winters (Bryton James) she’s so relieved they have their son back. Tessa will say the Mariah she knows would hate that she put them through this.
Devon will ask if she has seen Mariah yet. Tessa will admit she hasn’t spoken to her. But she’ll say she blames a lot of it on the return of Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and she believes that prison is not the place for Mariah. “I know you want to hold out hope,” Abby will say. “But do you think Mariah can come back from any of this?”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Danny’s Happy Daniel Put Himself Out There
After Tessa leaves, Abby will say she’s not sure Mariah should be around a child ever again. She’s trying to have compassion. But every time she thinks about Mariah abducting their son, she’s filled with rage. “She was planning to take our son forever,” Abby will add. “What if he’s scarred forever?”
Meanwhile, Danny and Daniel will discuss Mariah. Danny will ask if he and Tessa have gotten closer. “I am the least important part of this equation right now,” he’ll reply. But he’ll admit when they’re together, he likes who he is and Tessa feels the same way.
However, none of it might matter. “Right now Mariah needs help,” he’ll add. “Right now Mariah needs Tessa.” And he’ll say he can’t see Tessa walking away from her now. But Danny will tell his son he put himself out there again. “You’re not in the same space you were after Heather died.” Daniel will assure him if Tessa goes back to Mariah, he won’t fall apart.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon will tell Christine she’s so relieved she got Mariah out on bail and released into her custody. “Mariah, you understand the stipulations?” Christine will ask. “You can’t leave Genoa City without court permission.” Plus, she has to wear an ankle monitor.
Christine will tell her she needs to do everything by the book. “This isn’t right,” Mariah say. “This isn’t right at all.” Sharon will agree but she’ll say they’ll handle it one thing at a time. Christine plans to use a psychological defense. “She never meant him any harm and that is why we pled not guilty.”
Mariah will say there’s no defense for what she did. “We have to go back to the judge, I have to plead guilty.” But Sharon will say that’s not happening. Christine will tell Mariah she’s going to go for a sentence of probation and intensive counseling.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Mariah Asks Tessa About Their Child
Sharon will ask her daughter to open up and she’ll say it all came down to Ian’s return. Mariah will talk about the old guy she tried to kill in Boston. Then she’ll admit when she was at the clinic, she started seeing Ian again. “Because I didn’t get rid of him when I had the chance.” Mariah will say she was lonely and there he was.
Sharon will tell her it’s PTSD from her childhood trauma. “We will now find you the right set of doctors and you will get treatment,” she’ll add. “And the people who love you are going to help you heal.” Then Tessa will walk in. Sharon and Christine will give them time to talk.
“I hate that you’ve been in so much pain and I couldn’t help,” Tessa will say. Mariah will ask how Aria is doing. “She’s perfect, so sweet and kind and loving and strong,” Tessa will reply. Mariah will ask how she is. “Did Daniel do as I asked?” she’ll say. “Has he been watching out for you?”
Tessa will say he’s been a wonderful friend. Mariah will tell her Sharon told her about the divorce. “I wouldn’t take any of your phone calls so what else were you gonna do?” Tessa will ask why she’s lying. “You need me, I can see it in your face.”
Finally, Mariah and Sharon will show up at the Chancellor estate. “I had to come and apologize,” she’ll tell Abby and Devon. A furious Abby will ask how she’s there and Sharon will explain Mariah’s out on bail. Abby will tell Mariah she could have called, she could have brought Dom home, but she didn’t.
“I made a mistake,” Mariah will reply. “I hope that one day you can forgive me.” But Abby will ask if she wants forgiveness for stealing Dom and making him call her mommy. “You need to leave,” she’ll add. “I never want you around my son, ever again.”
